Oprah’s doing press for her latest 50 pound weight loss…… which is actually pretty impressive considering she’s 71 years old. I wouldn’t suggest trying to try everything she does because it takes Oprah money and Oprah time, but here are some of her diet highlights.
She sticks to 1,700 calories a day.
For breakfast, she either goes with a power smoothie full of berries, yogurt, walnuts, and orange juice. Which is exactly what I do, except the nuts. I put in some protein powder. Just this morning, I used Fruity Pebbles flavored protein powder, sugar free. If not that Oprah eats wheat toast with 2 slices of turkey, avocado, and a fried egg…. Which sounds really good. Except, double that and maybe add a slice of cheese. I don’t have Oprah’s discipline.
At lunch Oprah chows big salads with lots of veggies and a turkey burger. And then she has something small for dinner like a few ounces of chicken breast and with rice and broccoli, but never eats past 4 in the afternoon. Oprah also does strength training, daily hikes of 5 or more miles a day, and takes a GLP-1. One last thing, she drinks at least a gallon of water every day.
