Power Restored in Northeast Lincoln After Brief Outage

A brief power outage reported Monday morning in northeast Lincoln has been addressed, says Lincoln Electric System.

An LES spokesperson said the outage, caused by a vehicle crash near 84th Street and Leighton Avenue, impacted more than 1,200 customers.

Someone called 911 after seeing powerlines sparking around 8:30 a.m. The outage area was from 79th to 140th Street and Crescent Moon to Fremont Street.

Power was restored to all customers around 9:40 a.m.
