The local nonprofit Voices of Hope will host its annual “Strike Out Sexual Assault Bowl-A-Thon” fundraiser later this month to support services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and other forms of abuse.

The 15th annual event is scheduled for April 25 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Sun Valley Lanes. The event coincides with Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is recognized in April.

Organizers say funds raised will support programs including 24/7 crisis intervention, counseling, safety planning and community outreach efforts.

“This event brings the community together to have fun while supporting a great cause,” said Yaquelin Cisneros, the organization’s resource development coordinator. “The funds raised will make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.”

Participants can register in teams of four to six people. The event will include bowling, prizes and other activities. The prize categories include: best Team Name, Best Team Spirit, Best Team Costume, and Highest Scoring Team.
