Man goes to jail for Mac N Cheese crime. Really.

By Austin Michael May 6, 2026 | 2:30 PM

There was recently an abuse of power so heinous, that you may want to avert your ears. A worker at a Chick-Fil-A in Texas has been arrested for embezzling $80,000 by running a…… Mac And Cheese scam!!!!!

This…. Miscreant….. would ring up hundreds of orders for their Mac N Cheese Trays and then refund them to his personal credit cards. As if no one would notice. It’s Mac N Cheese! Also, they have him on video where he rang up EIGHT HUNDRED orders at the same time. Because, that’s totally normal. He’s being held on bond for $110,000.

Speaking of, when I was looking at recipes for Cinco de Mayo yesterday, I found a recipe for Mexican Mac and Cheese. Actually, I found a lot of variations on it and didn’t have time to include it with the sopapilla recipe I shared. So, I’ve posted the one that sounded most tasty below. Hopefully, its comfort will help us all forget how badly that cashier abused his Mac And Cheese privileges.

Mexican Mac And Cheese

You’ll need: A box Kraft Mac N Cheese, 2 tbsp butter, ¼ C milk, ½ pound ground beef, 2 tbsp Taco Seasoning, 1 can sweet corn kernels, 1 small green bell pepper diced, 1 small red bell pepper diced, cilantro for garnish, ranch dressing for drizzling.

Cooking: Bring a large pot of water to boil and add the macaroni. Allow to cook as instructed on the package. In a small saucepan on low, combine the sweet corn, red and green peppers, and allow to warm, stirring occasionally. While the macaroni cooks, in a frying pan, brown the ground beef over medium high heat, crumbling as it cooks, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add the taco seasoning, stirring until thoroughly combined. When the macaroni is cooked to tenderness, drain and return to the pot. Add the butter, milk, and enclosed cheese mix packet and mix until thoroughly combined and cheesy. Mix the mac & cheese, ground beef, and veggies together and place into three bowls. Top with fresh cilantro and a drizzle of ranch dressing.
