Lincoln Police have arrested a man accused in a string of business burglaries across the city dating back to March. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says 34-year-old Clarence Wilson was arrested Friday in connection with six separate break-ins between March 25th and May 13th.

According to police, Wilson allegedly used a large rock or piece of concrete to smash glass doors or windows before entering the businesses. Officers say safes, jewelry, cash, sports cards, Pokémon cards, memorabilia, and sexual pleasure devices were stolen during the crimes.

Following Wilson’s arrest, detectives served a search warrant at his home, where police say they recovered items connected to all six burglaries from inside the house and garage. Thomas estimates the total loss from the burglaries at more than $30,000, with an additional $8,100 in property damage.

Wilson was booked into the Lancaster County Jail on six counts of burglary. The businesses involved include Romantix on South 10th Street, Rosari’s Kitchen on ‘O’ Street, Capital City Sports Cards on South 59th Street, Variedades El Quentzal on South 13th Street and Lobo City Mex on North 27th Street.

The investigation remains ongoing.
