Out of Roanoke, Virginia today…. A couple of giraffes have been found after they disappeared from the zoo there…….. over a year ago.
I know, you’re thinking, “Best hide and seek players ever!” They probably disguised themselves as light poles.
Actually, the mystery goes deeper. The zoo was being investigated last year for animal abuse. Two of the giraffes were pregnant. When authorities seized animals, they weren’t pregnant anymore. There were no records of them giving birth. And, most importantly, there weren’t any baby giraffes.
Although…….. it is Roanoke where things tend to disappear without a trace.
But now, a year later, out of nowhere, 2 giraffes! Police aren’t saying how they found them.
Which leaves one to wonder, how would someone hide and care for two giraffes….. for a year? They had police, trackers, PETA, and other organizations looking for them. There was even a $50,000 reward. And, it’s not like you can put giant diapers on baby giraffes and keep them in your basement. Even if you could, do you dress them up and pretend they’re relatives when people come over? Oh, yeah, that’s just uncle Jake. He’s got a thyroid problem. That’s why his neck is like that.
Anyway, the zoo owners are refusing to cooperate.
