Former Bellevue police officer Ryan Agustin has been sentenced to decades in prison following convictions in two separate criminal cases. Sarpy County District Judge Nathan Cox sentenced Agustin to two consecutive terms of 10 to 20 years for attempted manufacture of child sexual abuse material and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

He also received an additional consecutive sentence of two to three years for terroristic threats, bringing his total sentence to 22 to 43 years in prison. The Nebraska Attorney General’s Office says it partnered with the Nebraska State Patrol last year to investigate Agustin after allegations involving the manufacture of child sexual abuse material.

Authorities say following his arrest in that case, a separate victim in an unrelated incident came forward and reported that Agustin had held a gun to the victim’s head and detained the person against their will. That investigation led to the terroristic threats and firearm-related charges.

Agustin entered guilty pleas in both cases on April 6th.
