Heartwarming help for elderly woman who couldn’t afford to eat or feed her pets.

I almost cried when I heard about this out of Wichita. Over the last couple of years, an elderly woman named Debbie in Wichita has dealt with her husband dying from cancer after being diagnosed and given just 90 days to live. During the time she was caring for him, she hired a tree guy to do work. He took $2,000 and never showed up. A neighbor then wrecked her car and didn’t pay for it. And she went broke from medical bills. Over the last 2 years she and her dogs have often skipped eating for days at a time. She is behind on rent. And everything in her lawn has grown about 8 feet high. Debbie has trouble walking and she has nothing. Or, I should say she had nothing.

A Wichita man who owns the non- profit Mow It Forward heard about her. So, he and his dad spent two days cleaning up her yard. They also started a Go fund Me for Debbie. They raised $685,000 for Debbie. She couldn’t believe it.

Here’s the video about Debbie and her story. It really moved me and I think it’ll move you. —Austin Michael
