July Events Bring Tourism Boom to Lincoln

By Tom Stanton Jun 26, 2026 | 11:32 AM

Lincoln is preparing for what Visit Lincoln Executive Director Jeff Maul calls one of the busiest tourism months the city has ever seen. Maul says July will feature five major events expected to bring thousands of visitors and a significant economic boost to the Capital City.

“That starts with the USA roller sports July 7 through August 2, bringing speed, roller skating, figure and artistic hockey and freestyle. Huge economic impact on our community, “Maul says. The ATP Lincoln Challenger men’s tennis tournament follows July 12th through the 19th at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center, showcasing top up-and-coming professional players.

The National High School Finals Rodeo returns July 19th through the 25th at the Sandhills Global Event Center. Lincoln will also host the USA Junior Olympic Archery Development Nationals and team trials July 23rd through the 26th, a new event Maul says Visit Lincoln successfully recruited to the city.

Rounding out the month, the Lincoln Saltdogs will host the American Association All-Star festivities July 13th through the 15th, including the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game at Haymarket Park.

Maul is encouraging residents to take advantage of the packed calendar. “Definitely want to tease it out there and really want people to pick out three of those five events and get a ticket, go out and see it, be a part of it. It should be a lot of fun.”
