Families looking for a summer evening of entertainment can head to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo this week for its second annual Family Fun Fest. The event will be held Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with the entire zoo open during the celebration.
Zoo Marketing and Communications Coordinator Erin Lenz says the evening is designed to provide fun for families, featuring live music by The String Beans, carnival games, a photo booth, face painting, a free zoo bingo activity, and other family-friendly attractions.
The inaugural event last year drew more than 1,700 visitors. Based on that success, organizers have expanded this year’s festivities by adding more face painters, new activities, and updated entertainment.
Food will also be available for purchase throughout the evening, including pizza, walking tacos, snacks, and other concessions. Admission is $13 for adults and $8.50 for children for non-members, while Lincoln Children’s Zoo members receive discounted admission.
