Lincoln Police are investigating two belated burglaries that are believed to be related. The first was reported Tuesday at a home near 19th and Garfield. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says the suspect used a 2×4 to break a window to gain entry.
“The items stolen from the home total more than $5,600, including jewelry, collectible coins and power tools,” Thomas says. The second burglary was reported happened at an apartment complex adjacent to the home’s backyard.
“The apartment was burglarized sometime between Sunday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon, with the unknown suspect kicking the door to gain entry,” Thomas says. “The items stolen from the apartment total nearly $500 in loss, including electronics and gaming equipment..”
