A Lincoln dog made national news this week. Chong…… the dog……. Decided to go wandering away from home one day………. In 2021. His humans missed Chong very much. They looked for him in his and their favorite hang outs, over and over, through the years since.
Then Chong was found at a truck stop in Indiana recently, more than 600 miles away. An animal shelter there took him in and somehow a family friend found out about it and notified Chong’s humans.
There was one little problem. Somebody else in Lincoln must have had Chong for some time after he disappeared because someone else microchipped Chong in Lincoln.
That’s still a mystery. However, Chong is back in the capital city after his ORIGINAL humans went to see him in Indiana. The shelter was convinced they’re the real owners because Chong not only recognized them, he also recognized his furry brother Cheech. Yes, Cheech and Chong. One can only imagine what kind of adventures those two can get into, especially if given 5 years on the open road.
