By Tom Stanton Jul 30, 2026 | 7:51 AM

Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird joined hundreds of residents Wednesday evening to celebrate the final installment of the Live at Telegraph Concert Series, praising the event as an example of the community spirit that makes Lincoln a special place to live.

Speaking before Downtown Collective took the stage, Baird thanked organizers ALLO and The Mill for bringing free live music to the Telegraph District throughout the summer. Gaylor Baird also referenced Lincoln’s recent recognition as one of the nation’s least-stressed cities, crediting residents for creating a welcoming atmosphere.

“Thank you for bringing the chill vibes that make us the least stressed city,” she told the crowd. Despite the summer heat, Gaylor Baird encouraged attendees to enjoy the evening and fill the dance floor as Downtown Collective prepared to perform.

“It is a hot night, but we’ve got cool breeze and cool music,” she said. “These incredible musicians are going to rock the house tonight.” The evening concluded with Downtown Collective taking the stage for the final performance of the summer concert series, bringing residents together for an evening of music, food and community in the Telegraph District.
