The Seward County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to stay alert after a mountain lion sighting about four miles north of Staplehurst. The sheriff’s office says the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has been notified, but the sighting has yet to been confirmed.
If you spot what appears to be a mountain lion, authorities urge you not to approach the animal. Instead, contact the Seward County Sheriff’s Office or Nebraska Game and Parks with the animal’s updated location.
