A Nebraska boy who made it in Hollywood is getting a new series on the Peacock streaming service. Omaha’s Adam Devine is doing a reboot of the movie “Pitch Perfect”. He was in the original movies as Bumper Allan, the lead singer for The Treblemakers. The new series focuses on him after Bumper moves to Germany to try get a music hit. Which he does. Elizabeth Banks, who directed “Pitch Perfect 2” will be producing the new series.
You’ll probably recognize Adam from the time he was on Modern Family”. He was Andy Bailey, the guy that everyone thought had an imaginary girlfriend. He’s also been a bunch of movies like “Magic Camp”, “Game Over Man”, and did the voice of The Flash in “The Lego Batman Movie”.
No word on when the series will premiere.
Fun fact, Adam was run over by a cement truck when he was 11. It broke all the bones in both of his legs and put him I a coma for two weeks. He literally went under two wheels of the 42 ton truck and was hit hard enough that he slid 500 feet.
Adam graduated Millard South in 2002.
