Lincoln Transportation and Utilities is highlighting several street and infrastructure improvement projects completed across the city so far this year.
The work includes bridge repairs, neighborhood street improvements, pavement preservation, signal pole replacements and improvements for pedestrians. “We are thrilled to complete several street and infrastructure improvement projects,” LTU Director Liz Elliott said. “We know summer is a busy construction season. These projects are adding value to dozens of neighborhood streets and other infrastructure across Lincoln.”
Among the completed projects is rehabilitation of the bridge carrying North 14th Street/North Antelope Valley Parkway over Oak Creek. Crews repaired the concrete bridge deck and completed milling and resurfacing work on the bridge. The project began in the spring and was finished this summer.
Street improvements were also completed in the Eastborough neighborhood. The project included street base repairs and resurfacing, upgrades to ADA curb ramps and construction of a new sidewalk along the south side of Trail Ridge Road between 81st Street and Russwood Boulevard.
LTU also completed its 2026 PressurePave pavement preservation work in eight neighborhoods: Hollywood Heights, Patrician Heights, Park Valley Heights, Sunrise Hills, Sunrise Estates, Rolling Hills, Southern Hills and Porter Ridge.
Other completed work includes repairs to the parapet wall along 27th Street over Antelope Creek and the Billy Wolff Trail. Damaged signal poles were also replaced at 70th Street and Nebraska Parkway, 70th and “O” streets, and at the I-180 southbound ramps and Superior Street.
