Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced Tuesday that ‘H’ Street between 9th and 10th will permanently close beginning September 24 for construction of the new Multi-Modal Transportation Center.
The facility will be located on the southside of the city-county building at 9th and ‘H’ Street and will feature 19 covered outdoor bus bays and be the permanent home of the StarTran transit system administrative offices. Rider amenities will include indoor and outdoor waiting areas with 40 benches, electric scooters, BikeLNK bikes and indoor restrooms.
The change will affect parking for drug testing. Parking will be available in the lot at 815 K Street, on H Street between 8th and 9th Streets, on the west side of 10th Street between H Street and Lincoln Mall, and in the parking lot at 829 H Street.
