And now I’m afraid to eat meat because the USDA just announced a nationwide recall of beef, chicken, and goat meat. It turns out that hundreds of thousands of pounds of meat were not inspected like they’re supposed to be. And even though they weren’t someone slapped a label on the packages saying they were inspected. Yes, a fake USDA mark.
The company involved is Star Meat Delivery in North Carolina. The USDA page isn’t showing where the meats went to for sale. However, they do list what types of cuts and that they were distributed by A&D Foods. They classified this recall as Class 1, which is their most serious with the possibility of sickness or worse.
I’m starting to think that I need to have a daily segment on my show just to announce what new food we can’t eat every day. Maybe we should just be glad that the meats haven’t been discovered to be radioactive………. Yet.
