Lincoln Lancaster County Crime Stoppers will host its Trivia with a Mission fundraiser Nov. 13 at the Scottish Rite Temple in downtown Lincoln. The event will raise money for the local program, which organizers say relies entirely on donations and receives no government funding.
Doors open at 6 p.m., when a buffet dinner catered by The Venue begins. Trivia starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $50 per person, and participants will compete in teams of eight. Guests can register with a full team or individually and be matched with other players.
The evening will include a cash bar, and organizers encourage participants to wear 1970s-themed costumes in recognition of the founding of Crime Stoppers in 1976. Organizers said last year’s fundraiser sold out and recommend purchasing tickets early.
The local program reported a clearance rate of more than 40% for its cases last year. Organizers say donations help keep the program operating and supporting the law enforcement agencies it serves.
