A 37-year-old Lincoln man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he stabbed two people early Sunday morning near 13th and East Streets. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says officers were called to the area around 4:45 a.m. on a report of an ongoing stabbing.

“Officers arrived and found 37-year-old D’Angelo Davis of Lincoln running from the scene.” Thomas says Davis was taken into custody and booked into the Lancaster County Jail. “Investigators determined Davis had struck and cut a 22-year-old Lincoln woman multiple times, causing minor injuries to her shoulder, earlobe and chest.”

Thomas says Davis then turned his attention to a 21-year-old Omaha man who confronted him about the incident. “He swung and thrust a kitchen knife multiple times, cutting the man’s hand.”

Police recovered a kitchen knife, approximately nine inches long, at the scene. Both victims declined medical treatment. Davis was arrested on two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony.
