The holidays are a wonderful and joyous time of year, but they can also be tough as we remember those who aren’t there to join us from year to year. Andrew Garfield was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday night to promote his new movie “Tick, Tick, Boom,” in which he portrays the late Jonathan Larson who wrote the musical RENT and actually died the day of RENT’s Off-Broadway premiere performance (which I could go on and on in a blog of it’s own about my love of RENT, but I digress). Andrew recently lost his mother and Stephen asked him about playing a beloved man who has passed away and how filming the role helped him through his grieving. I thought what he said was so beautiful that I wanted to share it.
