There’s a reboot of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air coming out. They released the trailer a couple of days ago. This is not even close to being like the comical 90’s version. Carlton seems like a conniving, spoiled jerk. In fact, every character seems to have a dark side. Just to give you an idea of what I’m talking about, there are multiple cuts of guns, fights, smoking of things, and angry people within the first minute of the trailer.
The reboot is based on the short movie called Bel Air that came out in 2019 which was a twist on Fresh Prince. It caught Will Smith’s attention and then he helped make this reboot happen. They describe it as a modern day drama with a lot of layers to each character. Bel-Air will premiere February 13th on the Peacock streaming network.
