Cannabis Vs Covid- New study shows potential for cannabinoids to block the virus.

Researchers in Oregon have been testing cannabis against Covid-19. I’m surprised to say that a report on their research says that they found two cannabinoid acids from hemp can bind to the spike protein of Covid. In layman’s terms, they’re saying that it could possibly prevent Coivd from entering the cells in our bodies. The researchers noted that these cannabinoid acids are easily available and don’t affect us the way THC does and that they have a good safety profile.

I don’t know much, or anything really, about cannabis. From what I could gather after reading the study and multiple news reports is that these acids come from hemp, not the wacky weed variety. Even so, a lot of people seem to think getting high is going to save them from Covid so they’re buying gummies and what not. Again, from what I understand, not the same thing, so probably not going to help.
