Last week, when I was talking about Dolly Parton’s new cake mixes, I half-jokingly said it would be awesome if someone would invent a cake mix that tastes like fried chicken. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted it to be real. I searched the internet, but couldn’t find a recipe. I did find is chicken fingers that are battered in Red Velvet cake mix instead of breading. Not sure how I feel about that. CLICK HERE to see that recipe.
Most recipes I found were cakes that look like fried chicken. But, I want a cake that looks like a cake and tastes like friend chicken.
There were also a lot of fried chicken cakes that had actual fried chicken set on cornbread in the shape of a cake with mashed potatoes as frosting. This one has mac and chees inside the corn bread. So, points for that.
