Savory Irish Stew Recipe

By Austin Michael Mar 16, 2022 | 8:30 PM

Not everyone is into corned beef or sausages for St. Patty’s Day. How about an Irish Stew? Like a lot of Irish recipes, it isn’t overly complicated with 50 different spices and ingredients. You got some broth, garlic, flour, stew meat, carrots, and a few other things including some Irish stout beer. That’ll probably thicken things up more than the flour. A couple of yellow potatoes is the most exotic thing on the list. You got about 10 minutes cooking on the stove top and then three hours in the oven. That’s okay though. It’ll give you time to finish off the rest of the 6 pack of stout you’ll buy. Maybe catch one of those Irish movies I suggested a couple days ago. Or, fix it the night before and reheat on St. Patty’s day. Stews like this have a habit of getting more flavorful as leftovers.
