This afternoon’s spotlight is on The TADA Theatre, located in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket!
TADA (The Arts Deserve Attention) Productions Inc. is the non-profit parent company of the TADA Theatre. For 21 years, TADA has offered professional quality, affordable theatre to our community. With an intimate house, TADA is the little theatre that does BIG things. Featuring a core group of theatrical artists, a dedicated production team, an ever-growing patron base and an esteemed Board of Directors, TADA Productions, Inc has involved hundreds of actors, students, designers and regional artists working towards the same goal and impacting our community with the positive power of theatre. TADA is a recipient of a Mayor’s Arts Award from the City of Lincoln, an Impact Award for downtown development from the Downtown Lincoln Association and a Proclamation for Theatre Excellence from the State of Nebraska.
The TADA Theatre’s 2021 series; Entertaining Safely, Wisely and Enthusiastically is now taking place with mainstage shows that include The Great American Trailer Park The Musical, A Grand Night For Singing: The Songs of Rogers and Hammerstein, The Santaland Diaries and more including the fulfilled musical Pump Boys and Dinettes currently on stage. - TADA is offering live performances in a SAFE setting, including an air purification unit that makes the air inside the theatre as clean as hospitals and labs.
- They have also put in a state of the art livestreaming system so patrons can stream the entire season this year from the comfort of their own home!
- Patrons who have returned have commented on how wonderful it was to see a show live and how safe they felt.
- Theatre is essential to good mental health and relieves anxiety and depression, and that is a large part of TADA’s mission this year!
