Taco Bell presents “Mexican Pizza: The Musical”. This is a real thing starring Doja Cat and Dolly Parton. It’ll feature music written by Emily Bear who won a Grammy for Best Musial Theater Album this year. The script is by veteran TV writer and comedian Hannah Friedman. Taco Bell has pulled out the stops on this one. Taco Bell says that it’s “a satirical musical about the ‘harrowing’ story of those who fought to bring back the Mexican Pizza”. The front of the script, that you can see on a post that Dolly put up says that it’s “Based on the true story of the Internet losing its mind.” The musical will premiere on Tik Tok May 26, at 7. I don’t imagine that’ll be that long since Tik Tok’s limit for video posts is 10 minutes.
I don’t think I’ve had a Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell since high school, over 30 years ago. I know I liked it. I’ve mentioned trying to make on at home to my wife, but she didn’t seem interested. So, I guess I moved on and the Mexican Pizza, slowly faded from my memory like a long lost summer romance.
