It’s already been 8 years since Robin Williams committed suicide. A lot of people couldn’t believe it because he had so much going for him and chalked it up to depression. But, some details have just been released about his physical and mental health that show he might not have a lot of time left. He’d been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, but he apparently had severe symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia. It’s a condition that changes and damages the brain causing problems with thinking, movement, behavior, and mood. His wife wrote a piece for Neurology magazine which said, “I experienced my brilliant husband being lucid with clear reasoning 1 minute and then, 5 minutes later blank, lost in confusion.” The autopsy of his brain showed signs of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. A doctor that looked at the findings said that the damage from the Lewy Body Dementia was so severe that he was amazed Robin was able to walk or move at all.
