Today is the first day of the 2022 Lancaster County Super Fair.
Marketing Manger Megan Schafersman tells KLIN News, “We are kicking off the fair today. It runs through August 6th. The first four days we have the 4-H and FFA have the livestock animals and static exhibits. That is what the fair is all about. Those kids work on those projects all year long and they get to show them off here. We have an expanded Family Fund Zone, different interactive educational exhibits there. Fun on the farm is there and that has doubled in size. That is a great way for kids to learn where food comes from and get an up-close experience with animals.”
This is the 151st Super Fair. There are activities for young and old including a Princess and Heroes Meet N’ Greet on July 30th with Moana, Belle, and Batman.
There are plenty of competitions that include a cookie eating contest, mutton busting, Big Wheel race and pedal tractor pull, a kids scavenger hut, and more.
All ten days, the Puppy Pals Stunt Dog Show will perform. They were seen on America’s Got talent and this is a family fun show where adopted and rescued dogs perform spectacular stunts.
Other events include Motor Mania, NoWear BMX Stunt Bikes, pony rides, food, carnival rides and much more.
New family friendly hours are from 4:30 to 10 p.m. on weekdays and noon to 10 p.ml on weekends. The carnival is open from 5 until 10 on weekdays and noon to 10 p.m. on weekends. Online pre-orders of carnival wristbands must be picked up by 8:30 p.m. nightly so fairgoers can get the most out of their all-you-can-ride wristband.
Limited free fair gate admission tickets are available at U-Stop, Super Saver, Russ’s Market or Westgate Bank Lincoln locations. Otherwise, admission is $3 daily. Parking is $ per car per day.
The Super Fair is at the Lancaster County Event Center.
