I honestly don’t know how I find some of these Twitter feeds sometimes, but this one is my new favorite! The Washington State Dept. of Natural Resources. Yup. I’m not kidding! You’ll see why…
Ok, to be real a second, since this is important stuff:
-be aware of any burn bans in your area
-keep your campfires and debris piles small
-DROWN THE FIRE when you’re done, then stir the ashes, then feel them to make sure they’re coolOur firefighters and trees will thank you!

I had seen the Washington Post’s tweet that just said ‘news’, so I legit laughed out loud.
Some actual camping advice:
-When possible, pitch your tent in an established campsite to protect nearby vegetation
-Keep your distance from water (~200 feet, but local restrictions vary)
-Only use firewood you bought locally
-Drown campfires in waterhttps://t.co/uoPJiaQMQ2— Washington State Dept. of Natural Resources (@waDNR) August 11, 2022

I’m just gonna stop there, because I could keep going for awhile…whoever the social media person is for this account, I love them and I want to be best friends.
