You’ve probably heard the nickname “Tiger Mom” used when referring to mothers that are tough. So, what’s the nickname you give a mom that is tough enough to fight an actual tiger for her kids? In India, a mom and her 15 month old son were in a field when a tiger pounced from the bushes, grabbed the baby by the head, and tried to run off with him. She wasn’t having it and fought the beast with her bare hands, driving it off. She fought off a tiger while it gave her serious injuries to her body and a punctured lung. Her screams got other villagers to come help. The baby suffered a head wound, but they’re both expected to recover.
On a side note, while doing research about this, I found a story from a few years ago where a woman fought a tiger to save her goat. The tiger took a big chunk of scalp off her head in the process, but she did save the goat. Think about that the next time you get upset because your internet isn’t fast enough to stream your 15 devices all at once. A goat meant so much to her that she fought a tiger.
