A new poll has reinforced our motto “Nebraska The Good Life” again. WalletHub used 30 pieces of criteria to determine which states are the happiest. Nebraska came in 9th. We did really well in the category of “Adequate Sleep” coming in 4th. Although, I think now that it’s football season, more people are losing sleep. By the way, a rating of 1 is the happiest. We rated a 3 in “Volunteer Rate”. Nebraska’s best ranking is a 2 in “Percent of Civilian Labor Force Unemployed 15 Weeks Or Longer” which means that we didn’t have a high unemployment rate. I think they could have worded it differently. Anyway, the only state that had a better rating is South Dakota. We have the 5th lowest divorce rate. New Jersey had the 3rd lowest which sounds totally wrong to me for some reason.
Colorado gets the best “Sleep Rate”. But they also have THC dispensaries, so one would expect a lot of sleep………. And snack eating.
Hawaii ranked as the happiest state. The least happy state is the mountain state, West Virginia.
