You won’t be able to see “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” anywhere on regular TV this year and maybe never again. Apple has the rights to all the Charlie Brown specials now. Last year, PBS was able to air a couple like The Great Pumpkin, but no more. This doesn’t mean you have to subscribe to Apple TV streaming. They are being nice and letting anyone who wants to watch the Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin special for fee October 28th through 31st. “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will be available for free from Nov. 23 through Nov. 27, and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be available for free Dec. 22 through Dec. 25. I don’t have the Apple TV+ app, but I assume that on those days, you’ll be able to open it up with the Charlie Brown specials highlighted as free and you’ll simply have to click on them.
I found a website that keeps track of all the holiday specials, Halloween through Christmas, from “Rudy The Reindeer” to 1934’s “I Walked With A Zombie”. The list shows date, time, and where to watch. CLICK HERE to visit that site.
