Serial killer lived less than 50 miles from Lincoln says daughter.

A real life serial killer hunting 50 miles from Lincoln. Just in time for Halloween, a woman in Thurman, Iowa is telling authorities that her father was a serial killer who buried bodies on their property.

Thurman, Iowa is 49 miles east of Lincoln.

Lucy Study says that her dad, now deceased, killed five or six women a year, adding up to around 70 altogether. She also said that her father hunted in the Omaha area. Lucy also claims bodies were buried in an old well, but the well was sealed up years ago and will take a lot of work to get to. Her sister Susan says none of it is true. She added, “I’m two years older. I think I would know if my father murdered.” Which sounds suspiciously like the kind of defense an 8 year old would put out. Also, the families of serial killers almost never know until cops come calling years later. Also, police haven’t confirmed what she said is true, but two of their cadaver dogs got hits while sniffing around the place.

When I worked retail, after some customers would leave, we’d play a game where we’d guess if the person was a serial killer. We’d have to tell each other what it was about the person that made them seem like a serial killer. Maybe it’s the way their eyes would go different directions. Or the way they wouldn’t respect boundaries. You know that guy. He always gets real close and almost touches your nose when talking to you. And when he talks it always goes off on weird tangents. Anyway, if you work retail in a mall, you see all sorts of people come out of the woodwork, especially during the holidays. A LOT of them act and look like they could be serial killers. Cue “Dueling Banjos”.
