An “I Voted” sticker that has a creepy looking spider on it is all the rage today. I got my “I Voted Today” sticker that looks patriotic with red, white, blue, and stars. But a county in New York had people submit design ideas. The winner is a multi-colored spider with a human head that looks like it’s tripping on meth. Now everyone wants one. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of them pop up for sale at crazy prices on the internet.
I’m not really for this creepy spider look, but I am liking the idea of adding something extra to the voting process like creative designs on the stickers. Maybe in Lincoln something with Honest Abe on it giving a thumbs up and big smile on his face. Or we could do something with the sower. It’d liven things up a little. Speaking of, is music allowed at the polls? You do a little dancing in the hall while you’re waiting to check in.
