Tuesday, Nov. 29 is no ordinary day. This week, it’s Giving Tuesday, a chance for Nebraskans and Americans across the nation to give money to a cause and charity they believe in.

“Giving Tuesday is really about identifying with the causes that you care about and joining with not just a local but a nationwide day in celebration of the act of generosity and the act of giving, to find the things that you care about, be really intentional about seeking those things out, and making some kind of contribution that is meaningful to you to support that organization,” Lincoln Community Foundation President and CEO Alec Gorynski told KLIN News.

“It’s this time of year when we’ve got all kind of options to spend money, pulling us in all kinds of different directions; let’s just pause and be intentional about supporting the organizations that are supporting our community.”

Gorynski says all that’s needed to celebrate Giving Tuesday is to make a financial donation to the organization of your choice.
