Gina and I both found this video about the same time and each had to post it. I’ve watched it several times and find it just as beautiful each time. Marta was a Prima Ballerina with the New York Ballet Company in the 1960’s and danced the lead in Swan Lake. She has passed since this video was taken but at the time she was suffering from Alzheimer’s. When someone played the music from Swan Lake for her she was able to remember her part. It just shows you the power of music. My favorite part is there is snippets of her original performance and a picture at the end of Marta in her heyday!
Break out the tissues.
