There was a tiger walking around a middle class neighborhood in Houston yesterday. It was just strolling around in the front yard of a house and then walked out into the street. And apparently, it’s somebody’s pet. A sheriff’s deputy lives in the same neighborhood, saw the tiger, and then went out and drew his gun. Right after he did that, a man came out of the house the tiger was in front of and told the deputy not to shoot because the tiger is his. Then he grabbed the giant cat by a collar around its neck and dragged it inside the house.
And no, it’s not legal to have a tiger as a pet in Houston.
Since then, he and the tiger disappeared. Neighbors say he loaded the tiger into a Jeep and then drove off. Cops chased him, but he got away…….. speeding down the road……… with a Bengal tiger in the backseat.
They do know who he is and also that he was out on bond awaiting a murder trial.
There’s an APB out on him now.
Oh yeah, this isn’t the first time a tiger was loose in Houston. One was found in an abandoned house in 2019.
