I’m leaving tomorrow on vacation with my family and my mom thought it would be super fun for us all to get matching shirts to we could take a family photo on the beach. A few weeks ago when we were all together planning this trip my brother found a website with a bunch of goofy beachy shirts and after a tense family vote and a gazillion screenshots text back and forth (yes, we were all sitting in the same room) we ended up picking a shirt that looks like the one that Hawkeye Pierce wore all the time in MASH. It looks pretty close to this one (I can’t find the exact one anymore on the website). My 17 year old niece absolutely hated it but lost the family vote, so being the cool Aunt that I am I ordered her the shirt that she really wanted so she could still have it for the trip, which is this one.
Now, fast forward to late last week. I get a package in the mail excited to see my niece’s shirt arrive just in time for vacation…except…this is not the shirt that I ordered…
There isn’t a cat on this shirt. The shirt my niece wanted was 50’s style and had cats on it. How? What?
So then yesterday my brother sends a text to the family group chat with a photo of the shirts that had arrived that he had ordered for us…
I don’t think Hawkeye Pierce wore that shirt…
My Mom’s reply was maybe my brother accidentally ordered the wrong shirt until I shared the photo of the “shell shirt”. Apparently the website we ordered from just sends out whatever shirts they want to? My niece actually likes the shell shirt and said she’ll wear that shirt anytime, so that’s still going on vacation. The Little Hippie shirts are just hilarious, but I think those will go back…the moral of the story ladies and germs? Read the reviews of the website before you order.
