Coffee seems to be good for your liver. A new study says that drinking four cups a day may reduce your risk of liver cancer and other alcohol related liver diseases.
Is 4 cups a lot? I don’t drink coffee. It seems like a lot to me.
Anyway, scientists kept tabs on the liver health of almost half a million people for 11 years. The coffee drinkers were 21% less likely to develop chronic liver disease, 20% less likely to develop chronic fatty liver disease, and 49% less likely to die from chronic liver disease compared to non- coffee drinkers. And they said it applies to pretty much any coffee; caffeinated or not. Although, they said some of the benefits weren’t as good if you drink instant coffee.
