Friday Feel Good Feature – Missing Dog Comes Home 2 Years Later

By Austin Michael Jul 9, 2021 | 7:15 PM

Tonight’s inspiring story will put a smile on the faces of pet and animal lovers.

Aisha Nieves, in Pennsylvania, had been lonely and a bit heartbroken. Her dog Kuvo escaped 2 years ago when he was just 7 weeks old after some careless driver ran through her fence. Aisha went through an emotional roller coaster. But, after 2 years wondering where Kuvo went, she thought that he wasn’t coming back and decided to give another puppy a forever home.

Turns out that Kuvo was never that far away. A neighbor called the local shelter when Kuvo turned up in their yard a few weeks after he went missing. He was quickly adopted, but for whatever reason was recently returned to the shelter.

And that’s when synchronicity, serendipity, destiny, or just plain luck caused their paths to cross once again.

As Aisha was at the shelter looking for a new dog, she realized the one she was looking at is Kuvo. He remembered her too, jumping on her and showering her with doggy kisses. Aisha says that she feels like her heart is whole again.
