An arrest is made in a sexual assault dating back to July 9th. at 1:30 p.m. A 36 year old woman told police she had been assaulted by a 37 year old man she knew. She stated she had been waiting for a friend to arrive at her home and there was a knock at the door. Another resident opened the door and let the man inside, not knowing he was not the person the victim was expecting.
The man entered the victim’s bedroom. She immediately recognized him to be Ezequiel Ruvalcaba who previously had made unwelcome sexual advances. Ruvalcaba then sexually assaulted the woman who yelled at him to stop. She also yelled she was going to call police. That is when Ruvalcaba took off.
Investigators used digital evidence and witness interviews to arrest Ruvalcaba for 1st degree sexual assault. He was arrested on July 14th around 5:30 p,m. at his home near 15th and West A.
