Is this video of a plane almost hitting Jeff Bezos’ spaceship real? I doubt it, but watch and see if you believe it.

This video has been making the rounds for a couple days now. It purports to show a small plane almost getting hit by the Blue Origin spacecraft that Jeff Bezos was in as it speeds into the atmosphere.

I have several reservations about it’s validity. First being that there are severe restrictions in the airspace surrounding any launch into space. The FAA typically restricts aircraft from being within 30 nautical miles of any launch. That includes crop dusters to hand gliders, parachutes, and basically anything that can get in the air. And that air space is constantly monitored. Anyone who doesn’t abide gets hit with criminal charges.

That said, this would have to be one dumb pilot to post a video of himself breaking the air restriction in a plane.

Also, it’s awfully convenient that the plane just happened to have multiple cameras going. How many pilots/ small planes have multiple cameras running while they’re just out for a flight.

One other thing. I watched this frame by frame. IN a couple of parts. If you watch the shot over the wing, as the rocket passes by, the exhaust coming out the bottom never moves. There is no sputtering of change in the flame structure.

So, I’m not convinced this is real. But, you be the judge. What do you think?
