Adele interview dropped after reporter says he didn’t listen to her new album. His company loses nearly a $1 million because of it.

A reporter from Australia set up an interview with Adele. He flew all the way to London, sat down with her, did the interview, and then was told by her record company, Sony, that he couldn’t use it.

The man traveled 10,000 miles for this one interview and had it shut down by Adele’s music company Sony.
During the interview, Adele asked if he liked her new album. He said he hadn’t listened yet. Sony had sent him a link to preview the music, which hadn’t been released yet. But, he says the e-mail didn’t get to him until he was on the plane and he missed it. Because he didn’t hit the link and listen, they said no to using the interview.

That’s not all. The company tv company that he was doing the interview for had paid for him to be able to do the interview. It also included access to the Oprah Winfrey interview footage. And, it cost nearly a million dollars. Down the drain.

Having interviewed a lot of celebrities, I can tell you that there isn’t always time to check out everything they promote. Especially books and music. I can’t tell you how many authors who had new books out that I prepared for my opening the book to a random page and reading that chapter. Obviously, music would be easier though. Still, it seems kind of petty on Sony’s part considering they got paid. Still………. Adele…….. I think I would have been asking for that link the second I found out I had the interview. It’s not like an interview with Corey Feldman about his new album. Seriously, I’ve interviewed Corey Feldman about a new album he put out. I listened to 1 minute before shutting it off that time.
