Here’s one of those weird medical stories you expect to hear is happening in some other, less advanced country. But, nope, a man in the US had a tooth growing in his nose.
The went to the doctor because he was having a hard time breathing through his right nostril. He’d dealing with it for years, but finally decided to have it looked at. The doctor noticed a “bony obstruction” and a tear in the guy’s septum.
I saw the cray of the thing. The tooth looks like it grew the wrong way. Instead of growing down into his mouth. It grew up into his head. Doctors were able to remove it quick and safely.
I’m one of the lucky people who never grew wisdom teeth. However, I do have these abnormally large bone growths on the inside of my gums on the bottom half of my mouth. They feel like horns when I run my tongue across them. The dentist told me what they’re called, but I forgot. But he agreed that they’re hugely abnormal, but I’ll be okay.
THIS LINK will show you the x-ry and a picture in his head of the tooth. It’s a little gross.
