Stolen bridge I was talking about last week has been found! Video of it in thief’s lawn in blog. Yeah, I said in his lawn.

Update on that 58 foot bridge that was somehow stolen in Akron, Ohio that I talked about last week. Police have arrested a 63 year old David Bramley for taking it.

Quick recap. The city had an old, but fairly good sized bridge that they were storing in a field. Someone stole the entire bridge without the city noticing until someone told them a couple weeks after it happened.

David left a paper trail of his crime a mile long behind himself. He had rented a crane from an Akron trucking company. Then apparently just lifted the whole thing up, set it on a truck, and drove the 58 foot bridge to his house……. Without anyone noticing apparently. Anyway, it didn’t take much to connect the dots. Police searched his property last Friday ad found the bridge in several pieces in his YARD. Most people have gnomes or couches or cars in the lawns. He felt it was okay to leave a FIFTY EIGHT FOOT BRIDGE there.

I wonder what kind of excuse he tried to use when police found it. “The cat dragged that here and left it on the porch.”
