College player spreads Christmas spirit by giving his NIL money to kids.

Here’s a nice holiday heart strings story out of Iowa. Tyler Linderbaum, who played for the Hawkeyes at the University of Iowa, made a nice chunk of NIL money this past season. With his endorsements, he could have bought a nice car or a had good start towards a house. Instead of either of those things, Tyler took $30k, and donated it to the Iowa Children’s Hospital.

In fact, he doesn’t seem to care that much about making money for himself with NIL. At the beginning of the season, Tyler had said, “It’s not something I’m focused on.” Instead, he put the focus on helping kids get better.

By the way, the Iowa Children’s hospital overlooks the Iowa stadium where players and fans wave to the kids in the windows. It’s heartwarming to watch.

Since we won’t see Nebraska in a bowl, maybe catch Tyler playing against the Kentucky Wildcats, in the Citrus Bowl, on New Year’s Day, noon on ABC.
