- Whole Grain Toast . . . Bread will help settle your stomach rather than forcing it to work too hard during the digestion process (whole grains contain Vitamin B which help decrease the severity of your hangover).
- Chicken Noodle Soup . . . It’s gentle on the digestive system and helps restore lost electrolytes.
- Bananas . . . The high amounts of potassium help balance the fluids in your body, which is very necessary and needed after alcohol leaves your body.
- Honey . . . The high fructose content helps break down the alcohol in your stomach faster, and honey is a source of antioxidants.
- Oats . . . Utilizing oats in oatmeal helps a hangover because it’s loaded with vitamin B, magnesium, and fiber.
- Spinach . . . The best way to recover after heavy drinking is to eat foods that support liver enzymes (spinach or kale). A green smoothie (dark greens) mixed with coconut water and fruits will help.
