Man crash lands plane onto railroad tracks……in front of oncoming train. Video of dramatic rescue and train running through the plane in blog.

Imagine having to crash land a plane, which you survive, and then immediately having to worry about being hit by a speeding train.

That set of improbably circumstances happened in Los Angeles yesterday. It was a small plane that the pilot somehow crash landed right onto some railroad tracks. He did it right on the part where cars cross. The exact spot that vehicles always, somehow get stuck in. After the crash, police got there just in time to drag him out of the plane. It was literally seconds before a train crashed right through it. It was caught on the body cams of the officers. It looks like it could have come straight out of a Hollywood movie.

I’ve never understood how so many people’s cars and trucks quit working in the middle of railroad crossings. It’s such a small area on the road, maybe 10 or 15 feet.  What are the odds are of landing a plane on the tracks in just the right spot to get hit by a train? It’s like it’s some kind of personal vendetta between the Grim Reaper and this guy. I’m surprised the ambulance didn’t get attacked by an escaped Rhinoceros or hit by a falling piano.
