Today would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday, so on social media today there is the #BettyWhiteChallenge going around to donate just $5 to an animal shelter or rescue. Maybe even your favorite zoo, as Betty loved all animals. Being that I loved Betty White and also love animals, I think it’s a great challenge and if you are so moved I have a couple of suggestions for you.
Spaghetti Toes is a graphic artist who happens to be from Omaha that I get giddy for every time I see his art shared by someone or a group on social media. For instance, I’m in a Fans of Schitt’s Creek group on Facebook and he did a piece for the anniversary of the premiere of the show and someone in the group shared it. I nerded out a little bit. Spaghetti Toes was already working on something for Betty White’s 100th birthday when she passed so now he’s using it for the #BettyWhiteChallenge, donating the proceeds from the prints to the L.A. Zoo, the humane society, and Promise 4 Paws. He is also doing this with his Golden Girls print.
The Capital Humane Society right here in Lincoln has also been benefiting from the #BettyWhiteChallenge, which is absolutely amazing! Here is a link for them as well!
